    Never mind, I solved this myself a month later when I came across "Shell" in the Syntax dropdown.

    Bizarrely, I can see an option for "Batch file" syntax but no Bash, which most IDEs like Sublime Text support and which I imagine is used far more often/has a larger dedicated community than CMD/ba...

    @Bruno - Try Ctrl+A and then typing what you want to type in. I found this worked for the display name field on the website's signup, which also was unable to backspace. Either way, it's a terrible...
